Welcome to TradingGroove.com! I am a software developer by trade, but I've long had a fascination with the financial markets. I believe that the driving force behind my interest, as is likely the case for many others, is the potential for profit that the markets offer every day. I know from experience, though, that extracting profits from the market is not as easy as simply buying or selling a few instruments and watching the money roll right in.
I intend for this site to be a chronicle of my foray into the world of trading. I am a swing/position trader, and the primary market that I follow is Forex, focusing on the major pairs. Swing/position trading the style that best suits my personality, as well as my schedule, since I am employed full-time. I tend to focus mostly on price action, including candlestick patterns, support and resistance, trendlines, and price patterns.
The reader should be warned that I am still very much a beginner and that I have yet to become consistently profitable. Nevertheless, I hope that the content provided here will useful to someone who might be on a similar path. At the very least, it might be amusing to more seasoned traders and a case study in how not to trade to the less experienced (but I hope not!) - time will tell.
